OpenSign finds local businesses that have no website, or only a weak one, and publishes a real, working site for them — with a contact form that actually reaches you. It is clearly marked as unclaimed on every page until you claim it or ask us to take it down.
We scan public Google Maps listings in a city for businesses with no website, or a dead/parked one. When we find a good match, we generate a simple site — your business name, address, phone number and services, plus a contact form — and put it online at a subdomain of opensign.host, or a custom domain if you claim and connect one.
The site exists so that people searching for “your service + your city” find something real instead of nothing. Every enquiry the form collects is sent straight to you — by email or text, whichever contact information was publicly listed for your business — whether or not you've claimed the site. We don't hold leads back to pressure you into signing up for anything.
A visible banner on the site itself always says it is an unclaimed OpenSign preview, with a link to claim it or have it removed. That banner is not optional and it does not go away until you act on it.
Follow the “Claim this site” link in the banner at the top of your business's OpenSign page.
Submit your name and a contact detail through the claim form. Someone from our team follows up to verify you're actually connected to the business before handing over control — we don't hand a site to whoever asks first.
Once verified, the site is yours: edit the photos, hours and copy, see every enquiry that has come in, and decide whether to keep it on the free plan or move to a paid one.
The site itself, and every lead it produces, cost nothing and are never withheld. What we charge for is optional, and separate from having a site at all.
Growth is the only service we actively sell — a member of our team manages your Google Business Profile (the map listing, not this website) on an ongoing basis. We don't control your Google Business Profile ranking outright, and we won't promise a specific result; what we do is the recurring work of keeping the profile complete, current and optimised, which is the part most small businesses don't have time for.
Both options are on the site itself, not here — because taking action requires us to know which site is yours, and the fastest, safest way to prove that is the link already sitting on your page.
Go to your OpenSign site (the address is whatever showed up when you searched your own business name, or check any mail/text we sent you) and click “Claim this site” in the banner at the top.
Go to your OpenSign site and click “Remove it” in the same banner. Tell us why in one line and submit — the site stops being served immediately. No account, no phone call, no waiting on us.
Email hello@opensign.host with your business name and city and we'll locate it or take it down by hand.
No. Photos on an unclaimed site come from our own image library, matched to your trade — never images pulled from your Google listing. Copy is generated from your publicly listed business facts (name, address, phone, hours, services), not copied from anywhere else. Once you claim the site, you can replace any of it with your own photos and wording.
From your public Google Maps listing — the same information anyone searching for your business already sees.
We believe transparency is what makes it legitimate: the banner on every unclaimed site names your business, states plainly that it's unclaimed, and gives you a working link to remove it at any time, no questions asked.
No. This website is separate from your Google Business Profile (your map listing). Removing an OpenSign site does not touch your listing on Google.
